Looking for a way to make an impact in the community?

Keep an eye out for CESAME ChangeMakers this year! ChangeMakers gives Cal Poly students the opportunity to work with local 3rd - 8th grade students through hands-on engineering activities and field experiences focused on building a more environmentally sustainable world.

Last year, ChangeMakers teamed up with students in Atascadero to design, build, and test underwater ROVs, helping students explore engineering, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fun, hands-on way.

Interested in STEM outreach, sustainability, or working with youth? We'd love to have you join us.

Recruitment information coming soon - stay tuned!

Hey you! Are you a Cuesta College student who wants to be a teacher? 🍎

You don't have to choose between earning a Cal Poly degree and staying local. Through the Cal Poly @ Cuesta pathway, you can take Cal Poly courses from Cal Poly faculty right on the Cuesta College campus and earn a Cal Poly B.S. in Liberal Studies.

With evening classes and a hybrid format, it's designed for students balancing work, family, and other commitments while working toward a teaching career.

"Why I Teach" Mathapalooza last week was AWESOME! We had almost 60 individuals come out to hear all about careers in STEM education. A HUGE should out to Robyn Amendola (Laguna Middle School) and Steven Arata (SLO High) for coming out to share their stories. Also special thanks to Cal Poly Future Math Educators for supporting this event. That's if for the year - stay tuned for the next "Why I Teach" event coming up in the Fall!
