Cal Poly Students for Quality Education - SQE

Fighting for a free, accessible, and opportunistic CSU! The country (and public higher education) is in a state of crisis.

Stand with students, fight for justice, and build community with Students for Quality Education. Our group centers the voices of the most marginalized in the hopes that it will bring attention to the vast injustices and inequalities present in our university. That means centering the experiences of black and brown students, trans students, q***r students, undocumented students, disabled students,

low income students, and students from other marginalized backgrounds. Together we make up a very large portion of the university, yet we have continuously been disenfranchised from our education, social lives, and opportunities on campus. SQE will take any means necessary in order to achieve our goals. We will fight to make the CSU free, equitable, and opportunistic for all!

What if we are one people? What if the children of Gaza are the soul of our souls, what if every attack on the smallest of them is an attack directly on us?

Cal Poly admin (the VP of Student Affairs) host celebrations while their partnerships continue their crimes on a horrific scale.

It's shameful.

People of good will in the Central Coast: help us tell them that continued profiteering off these crimes and repression of protesters is not an option!

Announcing the SLO NAKBA DAY PROTEST on Thursday May 15, 7:00 pm, at the corner of Monterey and Osos St.

JOIN US TO:

1. Denounce President Jeffrey D. Armstrong and Cal Poly for capitulating to the federal government on matters of repression.

2. Reject Armstrong’s and Cal Poly Admin’s total embrace of the IHRA (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance) definition of antisemitism, which is false fascist rhetoric that claims support for Palestine and condemnation of genocide & ethnonationalism are acts of antisemitism.

3. Call for transparency regarding ties to and divestment from the entire military-industrial complex.

4. Demand a free Palestine and an end to the genocide!

They have shown us the meaning of resilience this past year. But our job is not over.

The coming weeks, months, years are critical. We must remain in wholehearted solidarity with our siblings, until return and liberation 🏞->🌊.

A call: to bring the focus back onto them, with our actions.

It has not stopped. The suffering continues on an incomprehensible scale.

Do not despair of your ability to make change. We can make the cost too much for the ones doing it, if we go out without fear: every city, every street, every hall of power.

The world should've stopped 400 days ago. But we can still stop it now. It is our responsibility, to those who teach life, who have given the world so much when they should never have had to.

Sunday. 1:30pm. SLO Courthouse. For the souls of our souls.

Mask up, be ready to march, and don't let the enforcers of empire silence us.

We know many of us are scared. The way forward is uncertain.

But we cannot give in to despair. We can get through this. We will get through this.

It has been 500 years in the making, this fight for liberation of stolen land & subjugated people. and we cannot stop now 🖤❤️.

Join us on Wednesday 11/13 at Linnea's Cafe for a q***r town hall on our way forward in this community!

Fascists want us to believe that we are alone, and that there is no point in taking action to oppose them. Neither one is true.

If you're nervous, anxious, afraid, disgusted, resolved, or mad as hell: come out! We need you!
