We’re shining a HUGE spotlight on the incredible team at Trader Joe's in Arroyo Grande! 🔦

Through their participation in the SLO Food Bank's Food Rescue program, they donate thousands of pounds of fresh produce and nutritious food to our hunger relief partners in South County every single month.

Their generosity helps keep shelves stocked, neighbors fed, and our community stronger. 🍎🥦

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the SLO Food Bank Open House! ✨

With nearly 300 community members in attendance, it was a powerful reminder of the extraordinary compassion and hard work that make our mission possible.

A huge shoutout to our Gold Sponsors Columbia Bank, Banc of California, and Cal Poly Mustangs for their generous support in feeding SLO County — and to the Build Off teams who assembled 40 Breakfast Bags and 300 No Cook Bags for local children and neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Meet Jim — one of our amazing gleaning volunteers! 🌱

Jim has been gleaning with us since 2022, and over the last year, he’s become a familiar face in the fields, always showing up with a smile and ready to get to work feeding neighbors across the county. 🍎🥕

One of his favorite parts of gleaning? Exploring different parts of the county and connecting with fellow volunteers. “Everyone has such a great attitude and outlook on life,” he says. 🙌

📢 The SLO Food Bank Pantry & Community Hub will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.
📢 Our Neighborhood Food Distribution at Lachen Tara Apartments in Avila Beach, originally scheduled for Monday, May 25, 2026, has been rescheduled to Monday, May 11, 2026.
