American Legion Post #291 San Leon, Texas Please like and follow our new page . This page is no longer updated. The Post was incorporated in 1954 when the first hall was built.

The American Legion Hall Post 291 was established in San Leon, TX in 1952. It held the largest membership in Texas in 1963. During its history it has overcome two disasters. The hall was destroyed by fire in April 2006 and was resurrected in April 2007. It was then destroyed by Hurricane Ike in September 2008. New construction began in May 2009 and was completed in January 2010. After each disaster the members have come together to come back even stronger than before. There are not enough words to express our gratitude to the many men and women who have given to our country, our freedom and the success of this Legion Hall! May God bless you
