San Leandro's first official Pride event took place in July 2024. This milestone was led by Victor Aguilar Jr., San Leandro’s first openly gay councilmember, who championed a celebration for the city’s LGBTQ+ community.

San Leandro's 3rd Annual Pride event will be held on July 10 at 100 W.Juana Ave, San Leandro. The event is hosted by San Leandro Improvement Association (SLIA), San Leandro Library, and San Leandro Recreation & Parks Departments

"San Leandro's diversity is both inspirational and impactful. That's exactly why we must continue to courageously cultivate an inclusive environment where each person feels welcomed and celebrated," shared Mayor Juan GonzΓ‘lez. "Our LGBTQ+ community has my unwavering support, as we work together to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and respect."
