🎨 At MARU's Belonging in America Open House and inaugural youth art exhibit, young artists explored identity, community, and place through powerful artwork and personal storytelling.

During our Youth Artist Talk, youth artists shared reflections on belonging with honesty, creativity, and courage facilitated by Emmy Award–winning journalist and author Dion Lim.

One youth artist reflected:

"Through this process, I came to realize that belonging is not about becoming better than someone else or finding worth on my own—it is about the relationships that help shape and support us." — Sherilyn Chan

Thank you to our incredible youth artists, Ishanvi Verma, Sherilyn Chan, and Trinabh Malla, for sharing your stories. ❤️

Sometimes belonging begins in a quiet moment.

A moment of feeling alone. Of carrying too much. Of wondering where help can come from.

And then—something shifts.

A place to turn to. A symbol of care. A reminder that connection is possible.

✨ At MARU, that shift starts here.

Belonging begins here. Help someone belong.

Sometimes, care begins with a simple lesson: showing up for someone who needs support.

Two young community members remind us what it means to help a friend—and how even small acts of kindness can make someone feel less alone.

✨ Through MARU’s Bridge Builders, our trusted in-language call center helps families, seniors, and community members access critical health and social services in the languages they speak and trust.

✨ Because no one should have to navigate hardship alone.

Help protect what our community depends on.

Our Bridge Builders team supports our community through trusted in-language services that help people access care, information, and resources when they need it most.

From our infoline call center, social services support, community education, and outreach, we help ensure that no one has to navigate systems alone.

✨ In the voices of our senior community, we hear what this support makes possible: moments of connection, trust, and belonging in everyday life.

“After coming here I feel at home… I feel a great sense of appreciation and belonging… My life has gotten better.”

✨ Because for many of our seniors, having a place—and people—they can turn to makes all the difference.

Help protect what our community depends on.
