Children's Health, Education & Leadership Project Since 1999, Children's H.E.L.P., a 501(c)(3) charity with EIN: 33-0847988 has been "Causing Smiles and Bringing Hope to Children in Need Around the World."

Initial funding was provided by grants from Ted & Linda Shown and Ted & Gloria Mooschekian and Tim & Jeanne James. To date, all funding has been from private donations. All needs are fulfilled by volunteers. Past projects have taken place in China, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Morocco, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Spain and Turkey.

In Kitale, Kenya, Sister Freda (google "Sister Freda, Kitale") runs an orphanage, a cottage hospital, a nursing school, and a girls' high school with a dormitory. Well, the school population is expanding and more beds are needed for the burgeoning dormitory. So when Freda put out the call, Jeanne James at Spoolies, Inc., responded. Spoolies, Inc. is now a corporate sponsor for the project.
