Join us to send a loud, clear message to industry and policymakers: technological innovation should benefit all of us, not just Big Tech and billionaires!

It must be governed democratically, taxed fairly, and accountable to the people and communities most affected.

We are a rapidly growing community-labor coalition working together to put local voices at the forefront of this new frontier for civil rights, decent jobs, and affordability.

Fighting for the People in the halls of Congress 🏛️

This year, we're honoring a leader who takes on bold fights in Congress and champions bills that protect and empower working families and the most vulnerable.

From calling for prosecution of ICE agents terrorizing our communities to pushing back against corporate abuses, Congressman is a leader who is unafraid to act before it's safe—before it's popular.

He is of the strongest supporters of the California labor movement in Congress today. Representing over 760,000 constituents in the Bay Area, he continuously fights side by side with the labor movement to enact policies that help and protect working families.

Join us at Champions For Change 2026 on Sep 17 as we celebrate Congressman Ro Khanna as one of this year's Champions.🏆

Patients Over Palantir—Workers over Watchdogs ✊

We want AI and data systems that protect patients and workers—not surveillance tools that profit off our information while cutting corners on care. Responsible tech isn’t optional.

Join us as we come together with workers, unions, and community members demanding transparency, accountability, oversight, and real guardrails on how tech and data are used in our workplaces and our lives!

Everyone in Santa Clara County deserves a stable place to call home. 🏡🏢

Working Families Housing is a new blueprint to build permanently affordable homes twice as fast—pairing smart public policy with mission-driven investment, and creating good union jobs along the way.

These recommendations draw from the insights of 70+ union leaders, policy experts, developers, and community members who believe housing stability shouldn't be out of reach for the people who keep our county running.

This work would not be possible without our co-chairs: Santa Clara & San Benito Counties Building Trades Council, Working Partnerships USA, South Bay Labor Council, Betty Duong, Ellen Kamei, Supervisor Margaret Abe-Koga, Councilmember Peter Ortiz, Larry Klein, and Silicon Valley At Home.

And we're just getting started—now, we build.

When our neighbors needed them, they answered 💪

This year, we're honoring the first group people call when ICE activity in our region threatens the safety of a family member or worker in our County—the Santa Clara County Rapid Response Network.

Since 2016, RRN has grown from a handful of volunteers to over 3,000 strong, running a 24/7 hotline that dispatches trained legal observers to verify and document ICE activity in real time.

They organize and empower the community—running know-your-rights education across all 15 cities in Santa Clara County and standing publicly with immigrant families so no one is pushed into the shadows. Every day, they demonstrate people power that doesn't ask the government for permission.

Join us at Champions For Change 2026 on Sep 17 as we celebrate the SCC Rapid Response Network as one of this year's Champions.🏆

This year, we're honoring a leader who's spent 30 years protecting working people in California and across the country—David Huerta.

As President of SEIU-United Service Workers West, David's spent his career (since joining SEIU in 1996) defending immigrant workers and working families, often before it was safe or easy to do so.

He and SEIU-USWW have long been partners of ours here in Santa Clara County—standing together to make sure the thousands of workers who power the tech industry have dignity and a voice on the job. David reminds us that courage means acting before it's safe, before it's easy, and finding joy and power in doing it together.

Join us at Champions For Change 2026 on Sep 17 as we celebrate David as one of this year's Champions. 🏆
