🌟 Every Child Belongs: Connecting UDL and the Pyramid Model in Early Childhood 🌟

Join Open Access and Placer County Office of Education for a three-part virtual learning series exploring how Universal Design for Learning and the Pyramid Model can work together to create accessible, inclusive early learning environments where every child can participate and thrive.

Each one-hour session will focus on practical connections between these two frameworks:
September 30, 2026: Designing Learning Environments
October 7, 2026: Supporting Social-Emotional Skill Development
October 14, 2026: Designing Proactive and Intensive Supports

Mark your calendars for this year's SELPA ADR Conference, on the theme "The Art of Agreement: Cultivating Collaboration and Inspiring Change," coming March 10-12, 2027, at the Riverside Convention Center. We are also excited to announce we will be offering a 3-hour pre-conference, advanced learner session with Stephanie Blondell and David Dowling of the Straus Institute, Caruso School of Law, at Pepperdine University. Listen to what students tell you.

Their answers can help them begin recognizing their emotions, identifying strengths and challenges, and thinking about goals that matter to them.

And don't stop with one conversation. Build opportunities for reflection into classroom routines so students have repeated opportunities to know themselves as learners.
