Buu Thai for Trustee 2024 Candidate for San Jose-Evergreen Community College District, Trustee Area #5 I am a 40-year resident of San Jose-Evergreen Valley Community College District.

I am a proud graduate of public education: Franklin Elementary, Bridge Academy and Andrew P. Hill High School. I earned a Master’s in Social Work and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from San Jose State University. As a 9-year Board Member of Franklin-McKinley School District, we balanced the budget every year while putting students first. We implemented initiatives to increase academic succe

ss, attracted and retained quality teachers and staff, and created a safe and healthy learning environment. I will bring experienced leadership to the San Jose-Evergreen Valley Community College Board to maximize tax dollars. I will cultivate a positive work environment to attract and retain quality faculty and staff. I will work hard to see our community colleges remain affordable and accessible to all students, so they may succeed in achieving their educational goals.
