Hope Services More than 70 years ago, a group of parents of children with special needs felt their kids deserved the same opportunities as everyone else.

Among their earliest achievements was opening a preschool for these children, which later grew to be Hope.

A big thank-you to our friends at Fifth Third Bank for volunteering their time at Hope Services in San Jose! 💙

Volunteers worked in small groups with participants to share valuable advice on money management, job interview prep, and professional development. They also enjoyed a tour of our site, including HopeSTUDIO, the Senior Center, and the Counseling Center — getting a firsthand look at the impact Hope makes every day.

Thank you to Monterey County District 3 Supervisor Chris Lopez for visiting Hope Services this week! 🙌

Supervisor Lopez's connection to Hope Services goes back years, to job training he received while living in Salinas — making this visit a full-circle moment for both him and our team.

We had a great conversation about the needs of families across District 3, especially parents of children with disabilities in communities south of King City, and how Hope's community-based approach can bring services directly into people's homes and neighborhoods, no matter how far they are from a physical office.

We also shared our commitment to our Direct Support Professionals, the dedicated people who make our mission possible every day, and talked about what it will take to support and grow this workforce for the future.

Thank you, Supervisor Lopez, for your time, your partnership, and your continued investment in the people of District 3. We look forward to working together to bring more support to the families who need it most. 💚
