In the fourth month of the Iran war, the President nominated an inexperienced loyalist to be our nation’s Director of National Intelligence. The only quality that concerns the President is loyalty, rather than any experience or knowledge of our intelligence community. Democrats and Republicans must push back to prevent Pulte from becoming DNI and protect our national security.

The president’s close ally will fill the role vacated by Tulsi Gabbard until a permanent replacement is named.

After our Congressional pressure and bipartisan legislation, the Administration today stated that it would not move forward on the President's $1.776 slush fund to award his cronies, allies, and January 6th insurrectionists. Despite that, Congress should move forward and pass the SLUSH FUND Act and Bipartisan Transparency for American Taxpayers Act to ensure that no “Anti-Weaponization Fund” occurs at any time under any president. Together, we’ll keep working in Congress to put up the guardrails on this Administration or any other to stop taxpayer funds from being used in such an egregious manner.

Too many people don’t have access to affordable housing, a cornerstone of the American Dream. That’s why I introduced bipartisan legislation alongside Rep. Mike Carey to strengthen the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and allow for more stability and flexibility when it comes to building more affordable housing. I will continue to ensure the federal government plays its part when it comes to solutions to bolster the housing stock.

This Administration failed in the Courts to try to block progress towards a clean energy future, so now they are attempting to bribe companies to stop building offshore wind projects. That’s why I joined my colleagues to demand an investigation into these $2 billion in payments to block offshore wind development, and I will continue to work in Congress to protect our environment for future generations and support the clean energy transition.
