The Closing Ceremony for Saturday Night Lights was one to remember as it recognized all the partners who made this eight-week program possible for the youth in our community. Saturday Night Lights provided middle and high school youth with safe, supportive spaces to play futsal soccer. This free program would not have been possible without the support of the San Jose Earthquakes, and also our very own SJPD Soccer Team. Our Officers volunteered each week to coach these incredibly motivated and talented youth and we are grateful for this opportunity to build long lasting relationships.

Stay alert, stay aware.

The San Jose Police Department Financial Crimes and Burglary Unit has seen a recent increase in vehicle burglaries, with several incidents involving multiple vehicles being targeted at the same time in San Jose.

To help protect yourself:
- Lock your vehicle and close all windows.
- Remove valuables and personal items from plain view.
- Park in well-lit areas whenever possible.
- Report suspicious activity immediately.

Detectives are actively investigating these incidents, but community awareness is key to preventing crime.

If you see suspicious activity, call 9-1-1. If your vehicle is burglarized, do not touch any potential evidence inside the vehicle, and call 408-277-8900 to file a police report. Scan the QR code for more information.

As always, send any burglary investigation tips to [email protected]. Together we can help keep our community safe.

Today the Children's Advocacy Center of Santa Clara County celebrated five years of providing life-changing services to thousands of children and families in our community. The San José Police Department has long shared the same commitment as CAC, and together, have been ensuring that survivors have the resources necessary to heal and reintegrate, while holding perpetrators accountable. That is why two of our SJPD Sexual Assaults Investigation Unit Detectives were also recognized during the celebration for their outstanding partnership and dedication to children and their families. Thank you to CAC for this honorable recognition, and for your compassion and leadership throughout the years.

We love it when officers find their way back to where they’re meant to be! This Officer previously left the San Jose Police Department for an opportunity with another agency, but has recently returned to continue serving our San Jose community. It says a lot when Officers return to our Department: not only do we create irreplaceable opportunities for career growth, but also lifelong friendships and a supportive family culture. We know you want to call San Jose your home too. Visit sjpdyou.com to join our SJPD family today!

Today SJPD Chief Joseph, Captain Tran and Captain Torres were honored and grateful to participate in this year’s Memorial Day remembrance ceremony at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park.

For more than 100 years, this sacred tradition has brought our community together to honor the brave servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. It is a true privilege to stand alongside veterans, military leaders, civic officials, first responders and community members in remembrance of our fallen and missing heroes.

Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

To the brave heroes who lost their lives while serving our nation: Today we recognize your service, but forever we will be grateful for your ultimate sacrifice.

Last night, patrol officers conducted a vehicle enforcement stop near Race St. and San Carlos St. involving a driver who previously fled from officers weeks ago.

Officers conducted extensive follow-up and obtained multiple warrants that led to the recovery of narcotics-related evidence, cash, a stolen shotgun, and additional paraphernalia. The suspect was ultimately booked into jail.

A safer city doesn’t happen by chance, it’s protected every day. Great job Western Division keeping San Jose safe!
