Preparation to become an Officer involves more than just getting in shape. You have to study the academics, you must get familiar with tactics, land navigation skills, you have to get familiar and comfortable with weapon systems and start adopting fundamental concepts that will follow you for the rest of your life. Master the basics now so you can achieve excellence in the near future, and let this mindset flow to every aspect of your life. THAT is what makes Marines uniquely proficient 😉

"Winter" FEX 2025! May this be the first in a long-standing tradition to take advantage of some winter backpacking in preparation for the Winter OCS course. Over the period of 24 hours, OST San Jose successfully completed a backpacking trip to grown accustomed to the cold environment around us and brush up on essential OCS skills to include: uniform wearing, hiking preparation, cold weather care, map work, 5-paragraph orders, and SULE evaluations.

No better way to prepare our candidates for the Winter OCS class! ❄️🏔⛄️
