At a time when hunger is rising and resources are stretched thin, innovative collaboration among nonprofits is more important than ever.

We were honored to receive the Collaborative Impact Award alongside Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen at the Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN) "Be Our Guest" award ceremony today!

By combining our strengths, we're turning recovered surplus food into nutritious meals, reducing food waste, and stretching resources further to help more neighbors facing food insecurity.

In just three months, our collaboration recovered over three tons of food, enough to create approximately 5,300 meals. Together, we're working toward providing 2,000 additional free meals every month.

Join the Hunger at Home Team!

Are you an experienced grant writer looking to make a difference in your community? Hunger at Home is hiring a Part-Time Grant Writer!

As the need for food assistance continues to grow across Silicon Valley, we're working hard to rescue more food, feed more families, and expand our impact. We're looking for someone who can help us secure the funding needed to make it happen!

We're seeking a talented grant writer with nonprofit experience, knowledge of the local funding landscape, and a passion for helping others.

Location: Remote or Hybrid

Hours: Approximately 15–20 hours per week

Position: Part-Time Employee or Contractor

Last Friday, we were recovering surplus food to help feed families and individuals across our community.

We're grateful for our partnership with Sysco, which helps us put more good food to use instead of letting it go to waste.

Together, we're reducing food waste and helping more of our neighbors access nutritious food.

Our team has been busy preparing meals for two of our programs: Feeding Future Leaders and Senior Home-Delivered Meals.

Today marked our first formal delivery to Evergreen Valley College as part of Hunger at Home’s Feeding Future Leaders program.

We delivered 150 freshly prepared, nutritious meals to support students on campus and help strengthen access to nutritious food.

We’re grateful to the Evergreen Valley College team for the partnership and look forward to continuing to grow this program together.
