NorCal Lifeguard Training

NorCal Lifeguard Training Our staff provides lifeguard instruction at your recreation facility or private club/organization. Simply choose the dates and times that work for your group!

NorCal LGT serves the following metro areas within California: San Francisco Bay Area, Peninsula, South Bay, North Bay, East Bay, Santa Cruz, and Sacramento. We offer an intensive 2-day course for initial certifications and a 1-day review course for re-certifications. Classes are typically held over one weekend or on two consecutive Saturdays or Sundays, but flexible scheduling is also available.

Our courses are conducted at pools provided by our clients, including recreation centers, country clubs, and home pools. Classes are taught by knowledgeable instructors with many years of teaching and lifeguarding experience. Class size is limited which allows for a low student-teacher ratio, high-quality instruction, and course completion in a timely manner.

Red Cross Lifeguard Classes

The lifeguarding course is a 3-day class and will take place on Friday evening, and both Saturday and Sunday. It also includes a 6-hour blended learning online class that must be completed before the first in-person class. The lifeguarding course is designed for individuals who have never been a certified lifeguard, or for those who have expired certifications by more than 30 days.

We invite you to sign up for our first lifeguard class of the season! It will take place February 21-23 in San Jose. It is at the end of Winter Break for most students, so you will have plenty of time to complete the blended learning online class ahead of time. Take advantage of the down season and get certified this month. Hope to see you there!
