The Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) held its 56th Teacher Recognition Celebration earlier this week, and four of our amazing teachers were recognized. This major event occurs only once per year! Please join us in congratulating the following individuals for receiving these honors:

In late September, Judge Julia Alloggiamento visited Ida Jew Academy and Valle Vista Elementary to recognize the school as a 2026 Civic Learning Awards Honorable Mention, sponsored by Power of Democracy. This makes it two of our schools that have been recognized this year for their excellent work in civic engagement.

With that being said, it isn't the first time that IJAVVE has received an award for this type of work. In fact, this is the third year in a row — last year being the Civic Learning Award of Excellence, and the year before that being the Civic Learning Award of Distinction! Congratulations!

We will be tabling at the YMCA's Trunk or Treat this Friday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, at 1975 S White Rd, San Jose, CA 95148! Come on by for snacks, games, and a film to enjoy with the whole family.
