The County Of Santa Clara Behavioral Health Services Department has created four mobile response teams to support people of different ages and levels of need. These teams provide caring and effective help during mental health crises. They work to reduce hospital visits and prevent unnecessary arrests by responding quickly when someone may be at risk of self-harm or hurting others. There are trained practitioners and workforce members, including licensed and unlicensed waivered clinicians, social workers, therapists, family specialists, and peer support workers to help people. Call 988 in a behavioral health emergency, and get details about these programs at https://bhsd.santaclaracounty.gov/get.../get-mobile-response.
