We have recently started a new program based in Santa Clara County, assisting homeless young adults and their children, to become housed. We also provide case management, resources, and work alongside them to stabilize, and work towards long term success.

We are currently asking for donations for our program.

Donations can be made via our website - starprogramsinc.org or cash/checks can be accepted. We are also accepting new/gently used clothing for young adults, new baby supplies (clothing, dippers, wipes etc), cleaning supplies, hygiene products, toiletries, some small furniture and appliance donations, houseware (Pots and pans, Towels, curtains etc).

A donation letter can be provided for tax purposes by request.

Any help is appreciated. If you have something you would like to donate and not listed please feel free to reach out and ask.

Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

Our Story

S.T.A.R. Programs has been serving youth in the community since 1976. S.T.A.R. Programs is a non-profit agency that provides residential care to youth (ages 12-18) and transitional housing to young adults (ages 18-21) in the foster care and the juvenile justice system. We are committed to providing a safe place in order to help our clients rebuild and strengthen their families by providing a continuum of care including connecting them to mental health services, independent living skills, educational, and recreational services.

S.T.A.R. Foster Family Agency is currently looking for Resource Parents (formally known as foster parents) to provide homes to local youth. Successful Resource Parents are dedicated to protecting, nurturing, and providing safe, healthy, trauma-informed environments with positive support for children who need a family. S.T.A.R. Foster Family Agency works as a team with resource parents to meet the needs of the children and support resource parents every step of the way. Our agency is able to serve Resource Parents from the following counties: Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Solano, San Francisco, and Contra Costa.

S.T.A.R. Foster Family Agency welcomes prospective resource families from all backgrounds. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, gender expression, disability, age, religion, marital status or domestic partnership status. Serving a diverse group of youth, our agency values multicultural and multiracial families, le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender and q***r families, single-parent families, and all other families, couples and singles that can provide a caring home environment.
