✨Cheers to Three Incredible Years, Esme ✨

Three years of creativity, warmth, energy, and a whole lot of magic. 💜

As our Creative & Special Projects Manager and in-house creative genius, Esme brings an incredible eye for design and storytelling to everything she touches. Her creativity has helped shape how we share our story, celebrate our comunidad, and bring the heart of our work to life.

Beyond her incredible talent, it’s the warmth, joy, and energy she brings to our office and our greater community that make her such a special part of our team.

Esme, thank you for making us look good, tell our stories better, dream a little bigger, and always adding your special touch. ✨

Cheers to three incredible years — and to all the creativity, comunidad, and Esme magic still to come! 💜🥂

Yesterday morning, our team joined community leaders in Gilroy for the Women’s Equality Day event, hosted by the County of Santa Clara, California Commission on the Status of Women and the SCC Office of Women's Policy. It was a morning filled with inspiring stories, rich conversations, and a beautiful reminder of what happens when we lean into this year’s theme: "Power in Community."

We were proud to celebrate the incredible honorees and featured speakers driving meaningful change across our region:

2026 Woman of Impact: Claudine Sipili, Destination: Home

2026 Organization of Impact: COMMUNITY AGENCY FOR RESOURCES ADVOCACY & SERVICES

Speaker Panelists: Supervisor Sylvia Arenas, Mariana Haro, Daisha Morales, and Rebeca Armendariz for Gilroy City Council.

Thank you to the organizers for such an uplifting morning. A special shout out to Marlene Zapata for your leadership and for everything you do for our community!

Today we celebrate National Latina Day, a day to honor the resilience, culture, and power of Latinas everywhere. It's a day to recognize the women who came before us and the ones showing up right now.

Because being Latina has always meant something powerful. It means turning what we've lived through into strength. It means opening doors for the next person instead of closing them behind us. It means sharing what we know so someone else doesn't have to start from zero. It means choosing each other, again and again.

Our 2025 Brunch ELLA program speaker, Natalia Cubillo, put it perfectly: "My story isn't a limitation, it's my leverage. Every obstacle I've faced is the exact reason I deserve to be in the room where decisions are made."

That's what our community does.

Come experience it with us. Come hear the stories. Come be part of the power behind them.

Today, we celebrate Nathalie Carvajal, our Senior Director of Operations & Grants, as she begins an exciting new chapter in her career.

Some people leave an impact through the work they do. Others leave an impact through the way they make people feel. Nathalie did both.

For years, she has been the steady heartbeat behind so much of what makes the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley thrive. She strengthened our systems, stewarded our resources with care, and built the operational foundation that allowed our team to focus on what matters most: serving our community. But what made Nathalie truly exceptional wasn’t just what she accomplished—it was how she showed up.

She made people feel supported. She made people feel capable. She made people feel like they belonged.

Whether she was celebrating a teammate’s success, helping someone navigate a challenge, or quietly making sure no detail fell through the cracks, Nathalie led with grace, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to others. She reminded us that culture isn’t something you write into a handbook—it’s something you create through everyday acts of kindness, trust, and accountability.

When the organization needed her most, Nathalie stepped into the role of Interim Executive Director during a leadership leave without hesitation. She adapted with remarkable agility, led with humility, and ensured LCSV continued moving forward with confidence and care. Her calm presence and steadfast leadership made an immeasurable difference during an important chapter in our organization’s journey.

Behind every grant submitted, every process improved, every budget balanced, and every new system implemented was someone who understood that operations isn’t just about keeping an organization running—it’s about creating the conditions for people to succeed and for a mission to flourish.

While it’s never easy to say goodbye to someone who has meant so much to our organization, there is also great joy in watching an incredible leader step into her next opportunity. At LCSV, we believe in developing and advancing Latina leaders, and today we celebrate Nathalie as she continues that journey. We know she will bring the same heart, integrity, and excellence to everything she does next.

Nathalie, thank you for every problem you solved, every person you encouraged, every challenge you met with grace, and every ounce of care you poured into this organization. You have helped shape not only how we work, but who we are.

Your LCSV family will always be cheering you on. We wish you nothing but continued success and know your brightest days are still ahead.

Please join us in celebrating Nathalie and wishing her all the best in this exciting next chapter.
