We're just days away from the start of the annual OLDlympics, a series of competitions for people 50 and older, which will take place from Sept. 14 to Oct. 6 in Hemet and San Jacinto. Don't wait to register, as some of the activities registration dates have already closed or will close in the coming days, and others are almost full. Competitors can choose from among 20 events -- bench press, billiards, bingo, bowling, chair volleyball, cribbage, Fun-tathlon, golf, hand & foot, horseshoes, pickleball, pinochle, Scrabble, shuffleboard, swimming, table tennis, tennis, Texas Hold 'em, tournament Blackjack and track and field. The event wraps up with the Awards Banquet. Fees for the 41st annual OLDlympics range from $5 for one event to $23 for unlimited events. And every competitor gets a T-Shirt!
