San Gabriel Police Explorers

The San Gabriel Police Department has an Explorer Program opened to young adults who are 14-20 years of age and have an interest in law enforcement. Explorers demonstrate great moral character and dedicate their time to attend weekly meetings and various community events.

Explorers are able to learn about the law enforcement profession by closely working alongside sworn and personnel staff at the San Gabriel Police Department.

Upon completion of an explorer academy, explorers are able to go on ride-alongs with patrol officers and compete at explorer competitions against other explorer posts in different scenarios and physical activities.

Personnel from the San Gabriel Police Department held a surprise drive-by parade to honor our graduating seniors🎓. We are extremely proud of Castaneda, Reyes, Perilla, Soria, and Campos.🎉Their hard work has definitely payed off. Thank you to our amazing Explorer Advisors and Evidence Technician Flores who made this all happen. 👏🏽

We will be having a fundraiser this Saturday! It’ll be from 4-8pm at the Chipotle in Rosemead (5809 Rosemead Blvd Temple City, CA 91780). All of the proceeds go towards the costs of explorer competitions, uniforms and gear needed.

On Veterans Day, we celebrate and honor all veterans who selflessly served in the United States Armed Forces. We enjoy so many freedoms and sometimes take those freedoms for granted, but none of those freedoms would be possible were it not for the men and women who served in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy. Thank you to each and everyone of you who served and sacrificed so much. We especially want to thank and honor the veterans who are now serving the City of San Gabriel with the San Gabriel Police Department.
