The Office of Civic Engagement & Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA) promotes civic participation and inclusive policies that improve the lives of San Francisco’s residents, particularly immigrants, newcomers, underserved and vulnerable communities. OCEIA seeks to bridge linguistic and cultural barriers to ensure that San Francisco’s diverse residents have equal access to city services and opportunities to participate and contribute in meaningful ways to the success of the community and to the city.

SA ILALAIM NG LANGUAGE ACCESS ORDINANCE, ANG WIKANG VIETNAMESE AY ISA NA NGAYON SA MGA WIKANG NAGAGAMIT SA SAN FRANCISCO!

Simula sa Hulyo 1, 2026, uumpisahan ng mga departamento ng Lungsod ang pagpapalawig ng kanilang mga serbisyo gamit ang wikang Vietnamese. Kasama dito ang pagsasalin ng mga mahahalagang impormason tungkol sa mga programa at serbisyo ng Lungsod at sa pagsasanay ng mga kawani ng Lungsod sa mga bagong mga kinakailangan. Ang mga pagbabago ay unti-unting magaganap at ang mga departamento ng Lungsod ay kinakailangang sumunod sa mga bagong patakaran sa pag sapit ng Hulyo 1, 2027.

Tandaan po, maaari kayong humiling nang pagsasalin mula sa mga departamento ng Lungsod sa ANUMANG wika na kailangan ninyo.

越南語現已納入三藩市《語言服務條例》指定語言 !

由2026年7月1日起，市政府各部門將開始逐步擴展以越南語提供語言服務。 這包括把有關市政府計劃及服務的重要資訊翻譯為越南語，並為市政府員工提供相關培訓，以配合新要求。 相關變更將分階段推行，所有市政府部門必須於2027年7月1日前全面符合新規定。

請注意，無論您需要哪種語言，均可向市政府部門申請翻譯或傳譯服務。

¡EL VIETNAMITA ES AHORA UN IDIOMA OBLIGATORIO EN SAN FRANCISCO, CONFORME A LA ORDENANZA DE ACCESIBILIDAD LINGÜÍSTICA!

A partir del 1 de julio de 2026, los departamentos municipales comenzarán a ampliar los servicios lingüísticos en vietnamita. Esto incluye la traducción de información importante sobre los programas y servicios municipales, así como la formación del personal municipal sobre los nuevos requisitos. Los cambios se llevarán a cabo de forma gradual y los departamentos municipales deberán cumplir las nuevas normas a más tardar el 1 de julio de 2027.

Recuerde que puede solicitar servicios de traducción o interpretación a cualquier departamento de la Ciudad en CUALQUIER idioma que necesite.

Vietnamese is now a required language in San Francisco, under the Language Access Ordinance!

Starting July 1, 2026, City departments will begin expanding language services in Vietnamese. This includes translating important information about City programs and services, and training City staff on the new requirements. The changes will happen gradually, and City departments must follow the new rules by July 1, 2027.

Remember, you can request translation or interpretation from a City department in ANY language you need.

Bắt đầu từ ngày 1 tháng 7 năm 2026, các cơ quan của Thành phố sẽ bắt đầu mở rộng những dịch vụ ngôn ngữ được cung cấp bằng tiếng Việt. Điều này bao gồm việc dịch những thông tin quan trọng về các chương trình và dịch vụ của Thành phố, cũng như đào tạo cho nhân viên Thành phố về các yêu cầu mới. Những thay đổi sẽ diễn ra từ từ. Chậm nhất là đến ngày 1 tháng 7 năm 2027, các cơ quan của Thành phố phải tuân thủ những quy định mới.
