For the 10th year in a row, Capital Group associates in the San Francisco office created custom Easter baskets for every adult and child residing at SVDP-SF's Riley Center for Survivors of Domestic Violence.
These baskets are more than just holiday gifts—they bring a sense of care and normalcy to Riley Center shelter residents who are in the midst of healing and rebuilding their lives.
A heartfelt thank you to Rena, Geraldine, and the entire Capital Group S.F. team for creating the most beautiful Easter baskets and spreading joy to Riley Center residents.

Thank you so much to the Order of Malta Western Association for coming out to throw a wonderful Super Bowl BBQ party for the guests at Division Circle Navigation Center in memory of Gene Payne! We are so thankful for their support and for creating such a special day for the shelter guests. Volunteers decorated the site, prepared food for over 200 people, and served all guests and staff before kickoff! Thank you to all of our volunteers for spreading joy while caring for our community!

Jen* was brought to Division Circle Navigation Center after she was released from Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital due to a horrific assault because she is transgender. Her case manager submitted a referral to DPH’s Behavioral health serviced to help address her PTSD. Weekly offsite therapy appointments were scheduled to support Jen’s mental health. Due to her past trauma and mental health condition, Jen’s case manager helped her to secure Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), which provides a monthly payment plus Medicare.

Jen received a housing subsidy, achieved stability, and is now enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant training program.

We were honored to welcome the Pacific Gas and Electric Company Community Engagement team to the Division Circle Navigation Center.

Division Circle serves 186 homeless guests, many arriving at the shelter with just the clothes they are wearing. PG&E employees kindly took time to be present with the community and, in a powerful act of generosity, pooled their own personal funds to assemble more than 500 hygiene kits for guests.

Each kit includes essential items such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and brushes. These are simple things, yet for someone beginning again, they represent care, dignity, and hope.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco mission is to restore human dignity and help guests take the first steps toward rebuilding their lives.

We are deeply grateful to PG&E and their community engagement team for showing compassion through action.

Veronica* called the Riley Center’s 24-hour crisis line after leaving her abusive husband with her 4-year-old daughter. They secured a placement at Rosalie House Emergency Shelter, where they received a private room, food, and clothing. Veronica was referred to a legal clinic for child support and divorce advice, while her daughter participated in a children’s program with play activities and counseling.

With Assistance from SVDP-SF, Veronica and her daughter moved into a new apartment using a rapid re-housing voucher.

Thank you to Capital Group for collecting warm winter clothing items for our shelter guests! We are so grateful for the continued support of the team and Rena Fritts Cajal-Willis as a part of our SVDP-SF family. Our guests will be warmer this winter thanks to our generous volunteers and donors!
