L'Chaim Adult Day Health Care We provide warm, culturally sensitive care for Russian-speaking older adults in San Francisco.

At L’Chaim Adult Day Health Care, you’ll find personalized support in a warm, culturally familiar setting. We are a California Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS) program, helping older adults and adults with disabilities stay healthy, active, and connected. Our staff speaks Russian, Ukrainian, and English, creating a welcoming space for participants from across San Francisco and nearby counties.

Today we celebrate and honor our beloved Program Aide, Larisa L., as she retires after 27 incredible years at L’Chaim.
Larisa has been with us since the very first day, giving her whole heart to our participants and caring for everyone like family. Her kindness, dedication, and warmth have touched so many lives.
We will deeply miss her live music during exercises, her joyful spirit, and the beautiful way she helped us celebrate every Shabbat together.
Thank you, Larisa, for everything you have given to our community. You will always be part of L’Chaim. 💙

Today at L’Chaim ADHC, we came together to celebrate Purim — a holiday of courage, resilience, and joyful community.

Our participants enjoyed festive music, traditional treats, costumes, and, most importantly, the warmth of being together. Purim reminds us of the strength of the Jewish people throughout history and the power of unity in times of challenge.

For many of our Russian-speaking seniors, celebrating Jewish holidays in a familiar language and cultural environment is deeply meaningful. At L’Chaim, we are proud to create a space where traditions are honored, stories are shared, and joy is experienced across generations.

Thank you to our staff and community for bringing such energy and heart to this beautiful celebration.

Today, the L’Chaim ADHC community came together to observe Holocaust Remembrance Day — a day of reflection, mourning, and commitment to memory.

For many in our community, this history is not distant. Some of our participants are Holocaust survivors who carry their memories from childhood — memories of loss, resilience, survival, and life rebuilt against all odds. We are deeply honored to listen, to remember, and to hold space for their stories.

As a Jewish organization, remembrance is not only an act of the past — it is a responsibility of the present. We remember the six million Jews murdered, the families destroyed, and the lives forever changed. We also reaffirm our commitment to dignity, compassion, and standing against hatred in all its forms.

May the memories of the victims be a blessing.
May the voices of survivors continue to be heard.
We remember. We honor. We bear witness.
