If our K-9s had walk-up songs… 🎵🐾

DEA is 8.5 years old, a certified narcotics detection dog, and she walks in to Bad Bunny like the veteran she is. She's spent years taking down fentanyl, m**h, he**in, co***ne, and ma*****na — and when she's off the clock, she's eating steak at Westlake Joe’s, chasing squirrels off the fence, and taking walks on Pacifica Beach. She earned every bit of that energy.

KASH is 2 years old, certified in explosives and fi****ms detection, and his walk-up is pure Metallica. He barks whenever he feels like it, runs wide open at Skyline Junior College, and also eats steak at Westlake Joes — Deputy Gonzalez feeds his unit well.

Same handler. Two completely different dogs. Zero complaints.

Class SB 190 reported to the South Bay Regional Public Safety Training for Day One of the Academy and they didn't back down for a second.

Forty-two people chose this. They showed up, got pushed harder than they ever have, and kept going through every moment of it. That's not som**hing you can teach. That's character.

Deputy Sheriff Logan Utt of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia gave his life in the line of duty. He was killed while performing a welfare check in Cana. He is survived by his wife and children.
