ORGANIZING MEETING TUES 1/27 IN SF (RSVP link in bio)

Minneapolis workers and communities have courageously fought back against Trump’s ICE siege of the city. At least 50,000 marched in frigid temperatures against ICE in last Friday’s historic general strike. On Saturday morning, ICE murdered another Minneapolis resident, Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who was responding to and documenting ICE activity in the neighborhood alongside other community members.

Join Socialist Alternative to hear from Chris Gray, a Minneapolis organizer, union member, and Alex’s neighbor, on Tuesday 1/27 at 6pm at the SF Main Library*, 100 Larkin St, Stong Conference room (1st floor). We’ll be discussing how to organize the nationwide movement that is urgently needed to bring down Trump and his ICE gestapo for good.

BAY AREA/OAKLAND: SOLIDARITY WITH MINNEAPOLIS STRIKE ON 1/23

In response to Trump’s state terror and brutal ICE occupation of Minneapolis, a coalition of unions and other organizations have issued a call for a one-day strike across Minnesota on Friday, January 23.

As Greg Nammacher, President of put it: “The army Trump is building right now in Minneapolis to deport people is the same army Trump will use to crush the unions. This is why we’re calling for a day without shopping or work [on Jan 23rd].”

Lets show as clearly as possible that the Bay Area Stands With Minneapolis. THIS FRIDAY 1/23 SAlt Bay Area will be mobilizing to the ICE Out of Everywhere: Solidarity with Minnesota March & Rally. Help us spread the word as widely as possible, bring your friends, families and coworkers, and join us at 4PM in Oakland at Fruitvale BART to stand with MN and demand ICE OUT FOR GOOD!

SAlt Bay Area hit the streets today alongside hundreds of others to protest Trump's war of terror on immigrants and attacks on working people at home and abroad. People overwhelmingly agreed that the call for a strike against ICE in Minnesota this Friday the 23rd is the kind of step fwd we need to level up our fight against Trump and ICE. Working people collectively make society run, and we have the power to shut it down by stopping work together. Socialist Alternative is helping build for the strongest possible strike in MN and solidarity actions across the U.S.

We are out here speaking with students about the need to build a fighting force to disentangle capitalism’s tentacles from our lives. 🦑

Capitalism has proven itself incapable of providing basic necessities like healthcare, housing, food, education, safety, and security for all people. It’s an unsustainable system that breeds imperialist war and exploitation of our planet, and both capitalist political parties are complicit. We need a new system, and as socialists, we know we’ll need united working class struggle across borders, nations, and languages to win it! ✊🏾✊🏽✊🏻✊🏿

Capitalism’s gotta go!!! ✊🏻✊🏽✊🏿✊🏾🔥

Today we were out at San Francisco State talking with students about the need to end capitalism and break with its two corporate controlled political parties that only represent the billionaires and their corporate donors, not working people and students. The Democratic Party will continue to be a dead end for our movements. While AOC claimed Kamala Harris is working “tirelessly” for a ceasefire, they repeated their empty promises to us and re-committed to their “ironclad support” for the Netenyahu regime’s horrific policies at the DNC in Chicago last week. We need to get organized for a working class, anti-war alternative to the bleak state of politics as usual, in the streets, our schools and workplaces.

NO BIDEN, NO TRUMP! 📣 RSVP to our public meeting TOMORROW night in SF (link in bio!) 📣

Socialist Alternative Bay Area was out at Pride events and protests in SF this weekend talking with q***r, working class, and young people about the need for an anti-war, pro-worker alternative to Biden and Trump. Thursday's presidential debates exposed the abysmal state of the capitalist system and its two corporate parties. We need our own party to fight for an end to U.S. military aid to Israel, and fund things like free q***r healthcare and affordable housing instead! As socialists, we see the fight for q***r liberation and an end to wars as a fight against the capitalist system.

Join us for our pride month public meeting this Tuesday, July 2nd, at 6pm, at the SF Main Library (Latino Community Room) and DM us to get involved!

Socialist Alternative Bay Area joined thousands in SF and Oakland over the last week protesting in solidarity with the victims of massacre in Palestine.

A ceasefire is not enough. We need to organize the largest international anti war mvmt possible to end the occupation and the siege on Gaza. In the US, this includes demanding an immediate end to US military aid to Israel.

Socialist Alternative is a worldwide organization fighting against war, imperialism, and the capitalist system. In Israel-Palestine, our organization, Socialist Struggle, organizes against Netanyahu's brutal occupation government, and for socialist change.

SIGN ON to socialist city CM Sawant's statement condemning the brutal Israeli state's assault on the people of Gaza.
-End the war on Gaza!
-End US military funding for Israel's war machine!
-Release all hostages on both sides!
-For a mass international anti-war, anti-imperialist movement!

Workers Strike Back is hitting the streets TOMORROW in Oakland to support unionizing Amazon workers!

Our canvass is part of a nationwide week of action to build solidarity for the union drive at Amazon’s largest air hub, KCVG in Kentucky.
