CCSF Office of Workforce Development! Join John Halpin, Interim AVC of Workforce Development, City College of San Francisco (CCSF), and the Office of Workforce Development Team, on Labor Day, coming up on Monday, September 7th, as we honor the National Holiday (CCSF is closed on September 7th). At CCSF, we celebrate the people whose work makes opportunity possible. Here, workforce development begins with our own workforce. Every day, faculty, department chairs, classified professionals, and administrators bring their knowledge, skill, and commitment to serving our students and our City of San Francisco.
Their collective work creates pathways to education, career advancement, and economic mobility—whether teaching in a classroom or lab, supporting a student through a difficult moment, connecting someone to their first job or internship, building partnerships with employers and community organizations, or doing the essential work behind the scenes that keeps the College moving forward.
As we celebrate Labor Day and observe September 2026 Workforce Development Month, I’m grateful for everyone across CCSF whose work helps our students build better futures for themselves, their families, and our community. Photo: John Halpin, Chancellor Messina, Office of Workforce Development Team.
