Priority action for SDA members and supporters is at 12:30pm outside City Hall Room 250. Join us and bring your friends!

Access Info:
- There is a wheelchair accessible entrance to City Hall along the south side of the building on Grove St, and on the west side of the building on Van Ness Ave. The ramp to the Van Ness entrance has a slight slope, and the Grove St entrance is flat. Currently, the accessible entrance on Polk St (aka Doctor Carlton B. Goodlett Place) is closed for construction.
- There are elevators in City Hall that people can use to get to the second floor
- This is a coalition event bigger than SDA but we will bring masks to distribute and we ask that everyone in our contingent wear high-quality masks (N95/KN95/KF94 or better). However, be aware that not everyone within City Hall will be wearing a mask.

🎵Somewhere over the rainbow, there are funds to help those needing home care, food, or a computer hub. Somehow, in San Francisco there's a way to help disabled people and seniors stay in their homes and age🎵

Yesterday, we joined with partners in the People's Budget Coalition to demand that the Mayor and Board of Supervisors restore the $8.9 million in cuts to senior and disability programs in San Francisco. No cuts to our communities!

A $2,000 Medi-Cal asset limit would kick 60,000 people off Medi-Cal, and create a dangerous and precarious situation for countless others. The California state budget cannot be balanced on the backs of seniors, disabled people, working class people, and immigrants. We have the money to keep full funding for Medi-Cal. Join us and our partners at City Hall on Monday, June 15 to send a message to city leadership: Have a Heart, Use Your Brain, Show Some Courage, and JUST SAY NO to these cuts!

No Mass Layoffs. But Seniors and People with Disabilities Are Still Paying the Price.

Mayor Daniel Lurie’s proposed budget may have avoided the large-scale layoffs many feared, but it still includes $8.9 million in cuts to programs serving seniors and people with disabilities — including cuts to technology access, employment assistance, legal services, geriatric mental health programs, and other vital supports that help people remain independent, connected, and housed.

The fight is far from over.

On Monday, June 15, members of the Dignity Fund Coalition, older adults, people with disabilities, caregivers, and advocates will gather at San Francisco City Hall for the Senior & Disability Day of Action. Community members will share firsthand stories about what these cuts would mean for their lives and call on city leaders to restore funding before the budget is finalized.

A budget is a statement of values. Join us and tell City Hall: Restore the cuts. Protect our communities. Fund San Francisco’s values.
