The JET Alumni Association of Northern California and the Japan Society of Northern California partnered for “Off the Beaten Path – A JET’s Eye View of Japan” featuring Official JET Program USA Alumni sharing favorite hidden travel spots, events, and foods near their placements.
Opening remarks were given by JSNC President Steve Po***ck and JETAANC President Melissa Golden (Hokkaido 2007-12) outlining their organizations and the evenings events. Cassidy Tao (Hiroshima 2017-19), JET Program Coordinator at the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco shared an overview of the JET Program and its quality of giving participants unique opportunities to both teach and learn all across Japan.

Rushton Hurley: Nagasaki 1989-90 – Goto Islands
Charlotte Gautier: Nagasaki 2019-21 – Kyushu
The talks were followed by Q+A with the audience and networking.
