Indochinese Housing Development Corporation-IHDC

Indochinese Housing Development Corporation-IHDC IHDC helps Tenderloin residents become citizens, learn English, access food, and navigate the educational, public health and criminal justice systems.

IHDC’s first work was renovating two buildings containing 117 units, now home to 350 residents. IHDC committed itself to building community within its buildings and the Tenderloin as a whole through programs driven by community need. In recent years, through the support of DCYF, PIC and private foundation funding, IHDC has been able to broaden its scope and now offers a wide array of services to t

he broader service population. IHDC has a strong history of providing comprehensive services to youth and families, helping Tenderloin residents become citizens; learn English; access food; and navigate the educational, public health and criminal justice systems. Through the Tenderloin Achievement Group (TAG), IHDC works to build the academic achievement levels, academic and employment skills, leadership, and the sheer sense of possibilities of Tenderloin and neighboring children and youth.
