** Use and SHARING of Images
The goal of this group is to preserve the visual imagery of San Francisco's Playland at the Beach. I don't own all these images, many are owned by others and so
me may be from private collections. When possible, I've asked to use these photos or have tried to give credit to the owner of the photos. It someone can prove ownership of an image on this group and would like credit or removal, please contact or message me. I ask that if you post an image, make sure you give credit if it's from someones collection. I cannot give permission for these photos to be used or copied. So for those requesting permission to use images from this website, I offer the following general guidelines...
All images fall into one of three categories:
1. Images owned by someone else are typically credited in the caption. Generally they allow these images to be used with credit given to them; i.e. Give them credit for the photo.
2. Images from mass produced media: postcards, stereoviews, newspaper clippings. In most cases these images have copyrights that expired long ago, HOWEVER I am not a copyright lawyer and it is YOUR responsibility to determine the copyright status of such images.
3. Images that I "borrowed" without permission (libraries, etc). Obviously I can't grant you permission since I don't own them. SHARING PHOTOS
We love that people are sharing these Playland photos/videos with friends and relatives! BUT, we ask that you use the SHARE option that is below every photo. It can found under the posted photo or the photo may need to be opened to find the SHARE option.
**NOTE: We are NOW a CLOSED Group, so SHARING can only be done within the Playland Group. Because many of of our donating members don't want the entire Internet to SHARE their personal photos or videos. This was becoming a problem. Pirating personal photos and videos is NOT acceptable here. If SHARING can not be properly achieved, we will remove all exclusive photos and put them into a PRIVATE FILE on Facebook that can only be accessed by request. We don't want to do this unless we have too. We will also start BANNING people who abuse this request. Thanks for your time.
