Ayer, 9 de junio, más de dos docenas de miembras de MUA se hicieron presentes en el Concilio de Oakland para exigir que se rechacen los recortes propuestos a servicios esenciales para sobrevivientes de violencia doméstica. Una de las miembras líderes de MUA compartió un comentario público en representación de nuestra comunidad y de las familias que dependen de estos recursos. Seguiremos organizándonos para defender servicios culturalmente relevantes y garantizar que nuestras comunidades reciban el apoyo que merecen.

Yesterday, June 9, more than two dozen MUA members attended the Oakland City Council meeting to demand the rejection of the proposed cuts to essential services for survivors of domestic violence. One of MUA’s member leaders delivered a public comment on behalf of our community and the families who depend on these resources. We will continue organizing to defend culturally relevant services and ensure that our communities receive the support they deserve.

El pasado 8 de junio, Mujeres Unidas y Activas nos sumamos a recibir a los caminantes y nos unimos a la campaña de la coalición ICE Out of Dublin para exigir que la prisión FCI Dublín permanezca cerrada y no sea convertida en un centro de detención migratoria.

Seguiremos alzando nuestras voces y organizándonos para defender los derechos humanos y construir comunidades donde todas las personas puedan vivir con seguridad y dignidad.

On June 8, Mujeres Unidas y Activas joined and welcomed walkers. We stood alongside the ICE Out of Dublin Coalition's campaign to ensure that FCI Dublin prison remains closed and is not used as an immigration detention center.

We will continue raising our voices and organizing to defend human rights and build communities where everyone can live with safety, dignity, and respect.

En el mes de mayo, miembras de las oficinas de Oakland y San Francisco se graduaron del taller Toma el Timón de Tu Vida.

Toma el Timón de Tu Vida es un taller de coaching de 9 sesiones, diseñado para mujeres que desean crear un cambio positivo y duradero en sus vidas.

Es un viaje de autodescubrimiento para fortalecer su poder interior, conectar con la líder que hay en ellas y dirigir su futuro hacia el rumbo que desean. Impartido por Sonia Serrano, coach de bienestar certificada por la International Coaching Federation.

¡Felicidades a todas las graduadas por este logro y por su compromiso con el crecimiento personal! 🎓

Take the Helm of Your Life is a 9-session coaching program designed for women who want to create positive and lasting change in their lives.

It is a journey of self-discovery to strengthen their inner power, connect with the leader within them, and steer their future toward the direction they envision.

Hoy, martes 2 de junio de 2026, es el último día para votar en persona en las elecciones primarias de California. Si eres elegible, ¡sal a votar!

📍 Encuentra tu centro de votación o buzón oficial más cercano para entregar tu boleta en vote.ca.gov

⏰ Las urnas abren de 7 am a 8 pm.

Las boletas de voto por correo deben tener sello postal a más tardar el 2 de junio. Si la envías el Día de las Elecciones, asegúrate de obtener un sello postal manual de un empleado dentro de una oficina del Servicio Postal de los Estados Unidos.

En el mes de mayo, miembras de MUA concluyeron un entrenamiento para convertirse en Orientadoras
Durante este proceso fortalecieron sus habilidades de liderazgo, aprendieron herramientas para orientar a nuevas miembras y reafirmaron su compromiso de servir con amor, empatía y dedicación.

Las orientadoras reciben a las nuevas miembras, facilitan las mini orientaciones, brindan acompañamiento profundo cada tres meses y apoyan en seguimientos, mesas informativas y talleres dentro y fuera de MUA.

Hoy celebramos este gran logro y reconocemos el esfuerzo, crecimiento y compromiso de cada una de ellas. 💜

In the month of May, MUA members completed training to become Orientation Leaders.

During this process, they strengthened their leadership skills, learned tools to guide new members, and reaffirmed their commitment to serving with love, empathy, and dedication.

Orientation Leaders welcome new members, facilitate mini orientations, provide in depth guidance every three months, and support follow-ups, information desks, and workshops within and outside of MUA.

Today we celebrate this great achievement and recognize the effort, growth, and commitment of each one of them. 💜
