Be a Part of History - Be a Part of the
Golden Gate Bridge!
This Saturday, May 19th
With no Bridge Walk planned for the 75th anniversary (as it was for the
50th anniversary), let's stand together on Crissy Field and BE the Bridge!
The National Park Service and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy
with the help of Human Banner expert- Brad Newsham, are organizing up to
3000 people into the shape of the Golden Gate Bridge and a celebratory "75"
on Crissy Field, with the actual bridge in the background. This historic
sight will be captured through aerial photography and documented in a
postcard! As a bonus, all participants will receive a photo electronically
as a commemorative keepsake.
Where to meet: On the grassy airfield nearest the marsh (across from Sports
Basement) between 9 and 11am. Arrive early to check in and get a position
in the image. The photo will be taken at 11am sharp.
What to wear: Orange or red clothing (as close to international orange as
you can get!)
How to get there: Walk, bike or take public transit as there is very
limited parking in the area.
