We’re Hiring! 🙌 The City of San Fernando is looking for a fun, organized, people‑centered Recreation and Community Services Program Coordinator to join our team!

If you love planning programs, supporting staff, and helping make community events happen, this might be the perfect fit. 🌟

Here’s what you’ll do:
• Support and help lead part‑time and full‑time staff
• Assist with budgets, scheduling, and daily operations
• Help recruit, train, and coach team members
• Oversee programs from start to finish and keep things running smoothly

Thank you, San Fernando!

We had an incredible time celebrating with our community at the Spring Jamboree at Las Palmas Park! From the exciting egg hunts and interactive games to the amazing community resources, it was a morning full of fun, laughter, and connection for families across our city.

A special thank you to our City Council for being part of this wonderful event and helping us kick off the festivities: Mayor Joel Fajardo, Vice Mayor Victoria Garcia, Councilmember Mary Mendoza, Councilmember Mary Solorio, and Councilmember Patty Lopez. Your continued support helps make events like this possible for our community.

We’re also grateful to all of our partners, vendors, staff, and volunteers who brought energy and joy to the day and of course, to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!

We look forward to seeing you at the next event!

Tuvimos un tiempo increíble celebrando con nuestra comunidad en el Spring Jamboree en Las Palmas Park. Desde las emocionantes búsquedas de huevos y juegos interactivos hasta los valiosos recursos comunitarios, fue una mañana llena de diversión, risas y convivencia para las familias de toda nuestra ciudad.

Un agradecimiento especial a nuestro Concejo Municipal por ser parte de este maravilloso evento y ayudarnos a dar inicio a las festividades: el alcalde Joel Fajardo, la vicealcaldesa Victoria Garcia, la concejal Mary Mendoza, la concejal Mary Solorio y la concejal Patty Lopez. Su continuo apoyo hace posibles eventos como este para nuestra comunidad.

We’re packing a lot of fun into 3 short hours, so plan accordingly! Here’s what our Spring Jamboree will look like this Saturday, April 4, 10 AM–1 PM, at Las Palmas Park.
10:00 AM: Event start time
10:30 AM: Marionette Show, Springtime Puppet Parade
11:15 AM: Egg hunts begin
11:30 AM–12:45 PM: Photos with spring bunny
11:45 AM: Adult egg scramble (must pre-register at City Booth)
All day: Pizza and aguas frescas for sale, jumpers, games, arts and crafts, and giveaways from local community organizations.
We recommend parking in the back lot off S Meyer Street, south of Coronel Street.

Hemos preparado muchísima diversión para tan solo 3 breves horas, ¡así que planifiquen su visita! Así será nuestro Spring Jamboree este sábado 4 de abril, 10 AM–1 PM, en Las Palmas Park.
