In recognition of National Trails Day this past Saturday, we would like to thank all our volunteers who have given their time and energy to help keep clean and maintain the trails on the Cleveland National Forest!

Over the past few months, the Warriors of the Santa Anas organization and the Urban Corps of San Diego have gone out and helped clear debris and vegetation off some of our most visited trails around the Forest. Their hard work keeps these paths safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone who loves getting outdoors. We’re grateful for their dedication, teamwork, and the care shown for our public lands. We couldn’t do it without you!

June 6th 2026 is National Trails Day, and what better way to celebrate than to have a volunteer skill share!🥾

Cleveland National Forest will be meeting at the El Cariso South Picnic Area at 10:00am and will be sharing the skills learned from volunteering for the Trabuco Ranger District. This will be followed up with a hike on the nearby El Cariso Nature Trail learning interpretation of our Forest and hopefully some bird watching. 🦅

This event will be a potluck style meet-up, so bring something to share while keeping in mind we will be at a picnic area, not a kitchen.

Today, the Trabuco Ranger District will be closing at 2pm. Normal operating hours will resume on Monday, June 8th.
