As CEO of Morrisseyusa LLC and Write The First Time, I am grateful for your time and attention to our efforts to give guard, reserve, veterans, retired military, and their family members a technical writing/publications job with military friendly employers. I am sorry to say as of the end of April 2026 both companies are going dark. Those registered with Write The First Time (WTFT) will receive an email from me with recommendations for pursuing remote employment as technical writers.

Why did this happen? I created a very niche employment referral organization for technical writers with military backgrounds. Unfortunately, there is a lot of competition with established thru-lines and resources for job placement. And my pockets aren't that deep to prolong the business plan any longer without a military friendly employer contracting with WTFT to provide them qualified technical writers.

May is National Veteran and Military Family Appreciation Month, make it a great one!

We are especially grateful for the safe return of a U.S. Air Force pilot rescued on April 5, 2026, after surviving two days in the mountains of Iran following the downing of an F-15E Strike Eagle. This daring and complex rescue operation is a powerful reminder of the courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment of our military forces.

This mission also reflects the strength of our promise: No Man Left Behind.

We continue to keep all service members in our thoughts—including the second crew member—and recognize the risks they take to protect our freedoms.
