One of the most powerful tools we have is education. Learn how you can help protect older adults by watching our webinar:

πŸŽ‰ We are thrilled to announce that ElderHelp of San Diego has been selected as a 2026 Impact Giving grant recipient β€” receiving $15,000 to support Care Coordination and for San Diego seniors!

This funding will help us deliver safety projects through our Home Safety Maintenance program, nutrition support, and personalized care to 300+ older adults this year. Projects like grab bar installation, food deliveries, and friendly visits all add up to something powerful: dignity and independence for our seniors.

Thank you to Impact Giving and the entire Impact Giving community for believing in our mission and investing in San Diego's seniors. We are honored to be among this year's outstanding grant recipients alongside so many incredible organizations doing meaningful work.

Last week, three dedicated volunteers built a sturdy handrail along a steep driveway for one of our clients β€” making it safe for her to reach her garbage cans and mailbox on her own. What might seem like a small addition makes an enormous difference in her day-to-day life and peace of mind.

To our three volunteers who showed up, sweated it out, and got the job done β€” your hard work is deeply appreciated. Sometimes the most impactful projects are the hands-on ones that give someone their independence back.

Feel Good Friday ✨

This week, we're shining a spotlight on the incredible team at Hilton Bayfront, who showed up in a big way for our seniors.

The Hilton Bayfront team recently donated a generous collection of supplies to ElderHelp's food pantry β€” a vital resource that helps older adults in our community maintain their independence and dignity. From shelf-stable staples to everyday essentials, their contribution will make a meaningful difference for seniors who rely on ElderHelp's services.

To everyone at Hilton Bayfront who gave their time, resources, and heart to make this happen β€” thank you. You're making San Diego a better place for all of us.

πŸ’› Happy Friday, and here's to the teams doing good behind the scenes!

πŸ‘Ÿ Today is Senior Health & Fitness Dayβ€”a reminder that it’s never too late to get moving.

A walk to the mailbox, stretching in the living room, or a stroll through the neighborhood can all make a real difference. Small moments of movement can build strength, boost energy, and brighten the day.

Even better? Do it together. Sharing activity with an older loved one turns simple movement into quality time and connection. πŸ’™
