We’re proud to join the City of La Mesa, La Mesa Park & Recreation Foundation, and La Mesa Village Association in celebrating the unveiling of the new Downtown District Sign—a beautiful new landmark that reflects the spirit and pride of the community.

At AMR San Diego, we were honored to support this project by purchasing commemorative tiles as part of the community-driven effort to bring this vision to life. Seeing it all come together at the heart of La Mesa is a testament to what strong partnerships and shared vision can accomplish.

We were thrilled to attend the Chicano Federation of San Diego County’s Unity Luncheon, centered on this year’s powerful theme, “From Moment to Movement.”

The event celebrated Ms. Rachel Ortiz, whose more than 50 years of leadership at Barrio Station have empowered generations. As she passes the baton, we’re inspired by the Chicano Federation’s vision to continue that legacy through a revitalization of the Station. We were also moved by keynote speaker Sara More’s inspiring words and enjoyed reconnecting with so many friends and community partners.

🚑💛 AMR San Diego | CPR & AED Awareness Week 💛🚑

As National CPR & AED Awareness Week comes to a close, AMR San Diego remains committed year-round to empowering our community by continuing to train as many people as possible in these lifesaving skills.

This week, AMR San Diego's Eric C. Nixon joined FOX 5 San Diego to highlight the importance of bystander CPR and just how simple it is to use an AED.

If someone collapses or isn’t breathing:

✅ Call 9-1-1 immediately
✅ Send someone to get an AED (if available)
✅ Start chest compressions — push hard and fast in the center of the chest
✅ Turn on the AED and follow the prompts

That’s it. AEDs are designed for anyone to use—no medical training required.
Every second matters, and taking action can help save a life before first responders arrive. Together, we can build a community of confident lifesavers.

⚾💛 CPR & AED Awareness Week — at the ballpark and beyond. 💛⚾

At AMR San Diego, our Community Education Team is always out in the community—meeting people where they are and teaching lifesaving skills.

🫀 Immediate CPR can double or triple survival chances—and every second counts.

Recently at Petco Park for a Padres game, we connected with hundreds of kids and families during a day of baseball and fun—while focusing on what matters most. We taught Hands-Only CPR to hundreds of participants, giving both kids and parents the confidence to act in an emergency.

We’re proud to not only respond to emergencies, but to help build a community of lifesavers.

🎓🚑 Congratulations to San Diego EMS Corps Cohort 2! 🚑🎓

AMR San Diego is proud to celebrate this incredible group of graduates as they begin their EMS careers.

In partnership with the County of San Diego - Government and Southwestern College, this program is helping build the next generation of first responders—and we’re honored to support it.

The graduation featured inspiring remarks from SWC Superintendent Dr. Mark Sanchez, along with one of our own—cohort 1 graduate and now AMR EMT, Kaiya.

👏 Your dedication and commitment to service are inspiring, and your communities are in great hands.

We can’t wait to see what you accomplish—and we’re excited to continue supporting Cohort 3 and beyond.
