We have the right to protest - especially when federal agents are tearing our communities apart.
The deployment of Marines and the National Guard against peaceful demonstrators is an outrageous abuse of power. We stand with protestors, with immigrant communities, and with all those rising up to defend democracy.
At Run Women Run, we support candidates running for office to protect the rights and freedoms of all San Diegans. In moments like this, we are reminded why representation matters — and why we must continue building power in our communities.
If you’re protesting this week in San Diego or anywhere across the region, please stay safe. And if you’re not in the streets, you can still help protect our communities by sharing Know Your Rights information and supporting those facing ICE enforcement.

As we wrap up the year, the board at Run Women Run wants to thank and congratulate all the amazing pro-choice candidates who ran for office this election cycle. Running for office isn’t an easy decision to make and requires a lot of sacrifice. We commend all the work that went into each campaign. Here’s to seeing more pro-choice women in office!
