I’m reading a book on Ketogenic food plans. The doctor writes “I have the risk factor gene for Alzheimer’s disease, which is the APOE4 gene. For me, staying on the ketogenic diet is a strong preventative measure. If I start eating a lot of sugars and carbohydrates, I could eventually develop Alzheimer’s based on my genetic makeup.“
Since I also have that gene, his information resonates for me. Anyone heard of this correlation between food choices and Alzheimer’s?
