CME: Navy Medicine Manpower Personnel Training and Education Command (NAVMED MPT&E) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Attendees should claim only AMA PRA Category I credits commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. NOBC/Subspecialty Code Earned: Senior physicians (CDR or above) successfully completing the course will be eligible for the CATF Surgeon AQD - 6OR, identifying qualifications, skills and knowledge required to perform the duties of a CATF/ESG Surgeon. Staffing Requirements: A course coordinator arranges for subject matter experts to present lesson topics. Medical Department officers and enlisted personnel currently active within the surface community also provide course presentations, as do past and present CATF Surgeons, Fleet Surgical Team leaders, and other service members. Instruments and Procedures for measuring student performance: Graduates in CATF Surgeon billets and their supervisors are surveyed 8-12 months after the course. Personnel Physical Requirements: Must be physically qualified for sea duty in accordance with the Manual of the Medical Department. Continuing Medical Education Credit (CME): Students earn Category 1 CME hours
