🚧Northbound I-805 Closed at Market Street🚧

SAN DIEGO — The Caltrans I-805 South Pavement Rehabilitation and Asset Management Project team will be closing all lanes of northbound Interstate 805 (I-805) from Market Street to Home Avenue Thursday.
June 9 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for overhead sign installation and temporary striping.
Northbound I-805 motorists may take the connector to the eastbound SR-94, exit on Euclid Avenue, turn left onto Euclid, turn left onto the westbound SR-94, and then take the northbound I-805 connector.
Portable changeable message signs will be placed along the routes advising of the closure and suggesting alternate routes.
The maintenance work schedule is subject to change due to weather, traffic incidents, or other maintenance considerations.

A CHP San Diego officer conducting enforcement in one of our Specially Marked Patrol Vehicles (SMPV) - observed two vehicles traveling at excessive speeds and in a reckless manner with no regard for the safety of other motorists. An enforcement stop was conducted, resulting in the arrest of one driver and the impoundment of both involved vehicles.

Officers operating SMPVs conduct focused enforcement towards reducing reckless and hazardous driving to save lives.
This was another demonstration of our unwavering efforts to provide the highest level of safety, service and security to the public.

Please drive safely, wear your seatbelt and always designate a sober driver.
