Fellow Aviation Boatswain’s Mate,

I’m excited to announce and invite you to the 52nd Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Professional Working Group at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach, 5655 Greenwich Rd, Virginia Beach, on July 24-28, 2023. We carefully considered the location and dates. There is no perfect date or location, but we tried to get as close as possible. We will release a flyer with more information next week.

Please support your Tidewater ABMA Chapter elected officials. Your president, BOSN Harris from CVN-79, Vice President, BOSN Robinson from CVN-74, secretary, ABF1 Johnson from LHD 3, and many others are dedicated to doing great things for Tidewater Chapter and National ABMA. Professional Working Group takes a lot of work, and the team will need help setting up, advertising, arranging vendors, selling merchandise, and cleaning up. You can help by volunteering your time and/or finances.

The ABMA was created to benefit our rate, Aviation Boatswain’s Mate. It can only be successful by involving most junior enlisted, CPO Mess, CWO, LDO, and veterans. Different points of view provide different objectives and solutions. Please provide your valuable honest input during the Working Group. Together we can do great things for our Association.

As some of you may know (and some of you may not), the ABMA San Diego Chapter is now open for Nominations to appoint new Cabinet/ Board of Directors members for the our local chapter. The positions up for Nomination are as follows:

Vice President
Treasurer
Merchandise Coordinator
4 Director positions

I will be attaching the position descriptions below so you all know what the job entails. If you want to get involved, or know someone you think may be a good candidate, reach out!!
