Honored to speak today at the dedication of the Joseph Marthaler bridge over Hwy 52 at Wentworth Avenue, near the site of the old Marthaler farm. Private Marthaler died at Iwo Jima on the second day of battle, February 20, 1945. I'll think about the amazing bravery of those landing Marines every time I see that bridge.
