Just in Time for Foster Youth JIT engages a caring community to help transition age foster youth achieve self-sufficiency and well-being.

We envision a future in which every youth leaving the foster care system has a community of caring adults waiting for them after 18. Just in Time for Foster Youth (JIT) empowers transition age foster youth to become confident, capable and connected. We believe consistent, long-term help from the heart is the foundation for the success of our youth so that they can thrive and enjoy productive, satisfying lives. We’re excited to announce and welcome J’Neia Stewart as our newest Resource Navigator at Just in Time!

Originally from New Orleans and Houston, J’Neia brings a strong background in education and youth development. After beginning her career as a social studies teacher, she continued supporting young people in San Diego through the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA, where she helped expand teen programming and connect youth with educational and professional resources.

Now at JIT, J’Neia will help participants navigate Basic Needs resources, meet immediate needs, and connect to opportunities that build confidence, growth, and self-sufficiency. 💜

Her passion for creating safe, supportive spaces for young people makes her a wonderful addition to our community.

From preparing and handing out meals to working together as a team, our community had the opportunity to step into service and make a meaningful impact for these wonderful families.

We’re so proud to see these young adults leading with compassion, connection, and generosity. This is what community looks like showing up for one another and discovering just how powerful giving back can feel.
