Project Save Our Children

Project Save Our Children "You travel faster if you travel alone, but you travel further if you travel with others." (African Proverb)

Project Save Our Children is an organization which began and formalized in May of 2010. This San Diego community grassroots organization began because of the racial disparity and disproportionality of African American children in the Child Welfare system. Project Save Our Children, recognizes there must be multiple, targeted efforts to connect children with permanent, healthy families, or adoptive

families. Project Save Our children has developed a CULTURAL BROKER PROGRAM which is one strategy to address the disparity and disproportionality that exist in San Diego with African-American children and their families. The Cultural Broker Education & Family Advocate Program will focus on reducing the number of African American children remaining in the Child Welfare system.
