June marks the beginning of the Summer Reading Program: Plant a Seed, Read! This year, children up to age 17 can get a free pass to the San Diego County Fair just for signing up! All ages can earn prizes! www.sandiego.gov/public-library/kidsandteens/summerreading

🌍 Become a Green Guardian - Thursday, June 4th at 4pm -
Come learn from Girl Scouts about the environment through a variety of activities and crafts for ages 5-11
📕📰🖌Junk Journaling (for adults) Monday, June 8th at 6pm
🌱🎨Teen DIY: Plant Pot Painting on Tuesday, June 9th at 3pm
Paint a pot with markers then add soil and seeds!
🐉🚣Dragon Boat Festival on Tuesday, June 9th at 5pm, hosted by the Hong Konger Club.
Participants can make a dragon boat, a scented sachet, and a paper water cannon. Make sure to stop by the photo booth and grab a festive snack!
📚🎶🌱Summer Reading Program Kick off Party! on Thursday, June 11th at 4pm
Enjoy music by The Microphone Doctors and decorate a papier mâché plant pot!
🧶World Wide Knit/Crochet in Public Day on Saturday, June 13th at 10am
🎨👩🎨👨🎨Meditative Painting for adults on June 16th at 5:30pm
🧩Family Puzzle Day on Saturday June 20th at 1:30pm
Tote Bag Decorating with Seaside Arts adult workshop = Jun 22nd at 6pm (registration required)
Food Fuel - Ages 8-12 - learn about nutrition and what different foods do for the body through a hands-on food preparation activity by making Banana Sushi rolls! (Limited to the first 20 to arrive) June 23rd at 3pm
🎶Family Concert Series: Westcoast Woodwind Quintet on Tuesday June 23rd at 6:30pm
🤡🐰🎩Summer Reading Program Magic Show with Sparkles the Clown on Thursday June 25th at 4pm
🎨👩🎨See Irina Koren's art all month long then stop by for a closing reception on Saturday June 27th at 2pm.
🇺🇸 America at 250: San Diego 1776-2026 on Tuesday, June 30th at 3pm.
Join the San Diego History Center for a fun, family-friendly drop-in program. This experience highlights San Diego’s unique role in the nation’s story. Explore real and replica artifacts, historic photographs, and stories that bring the past to life while connecting local milestones to broader U.S. history. Visitors of all ages are invited to touch, discover, and reflect—then share their hopes for the future by adding a message to our community “Wish Wall.”
We will be closed on June 19th in Celebration of Juneteenth.
Update: Introduction to Reiki is cancelled until further notice. The program has come to an end and we appreciate all those who participate.
