Our next Summer Reading Program event is next Thursday at 10am! Look out for Fleet Science: Under Pressure!

Air is a powerful thing, and although we might not think about it, we are under its pressure every second of our lives! From balloons to vacuums, learn just how strong air can be through exciting, engaging demonstrations involving the physics of air!

This program is part of the 2026 Summer Reading Program! San Diego residents of all ages are encouraged to sign up! Complete a combination of 10 books, hours of reading or activities to claim your prizes. Sign up begins June 1st and the program will last through August 15th. Adventure is just one book away!

Join us at our Summer Reading Program kick-off event tomorrow at 10am! Reading comes alive as Wild Wonders presents their program "Our Big Backyard!" This program focuses on native North American animals, featuring many from our own beautiful country, with an “at-home” conservation theme! This program contains an assortment of 6 animals, and may include a porcupine, an opossum, a groundhog or others!

Come face to face with awesome animals while learning how to help these animals in the wild!

Is clutter in your home a problem for you and/or your loved ones? Join us for a monthly group meeting designed to provide support, inspiration, strategies and organizing ideas for people who are facing this challenge. We need gentleness and kindness, and no guilt. We’ll offer suggestions from a variety of resources! Let’s talk about what works and doesn’t work for us, letting go of reasons/excuses and letting in a freer and more joyful life!

Join our all-ages Summer Reading Program (SRP) and explore a summer full of stories, creativity and discovery. Just like a garden feeds the body, books and ideas feed the mind. From books to hands-on activities, discover how stories, food, culture and community are all connected. Start with a seed of curiosity and see what you discover at the library this summer!
