Lineage and Honors as of 9 October 2015

315th Engineer Battalion Lineage:
-Constituted 5 August 1917 in the National Army as the 315th Engineers, an element of the 90th Division
-Organized in August 1917 at Camp Travis, Texas
-Demobilized 26 June 1919 at Camp Dodge, Iowa
-Reconstituted 24 June 1921 in the Organized Reserves as the 315th Engineers, an element of the 90th Division
-Organized in November1921 at San Antonio, Texas
-Regiment (less 2nd Battalion) reorganized and redesignated 30 January 1942 as the 315th Engineer Battalion, an element of the 90th Division (later redesignated the 90th Infantry Division) (2nd Battalion concurrently reorganized and redesignated as the 868th Engineer Battalion—hereafter separate lineage)
-Ordered into active military service 25 March 1942 at Camp Barkley, Texas
-Reorganized and redesignated 15 September 1942 as the 315th Engineer Motorized Battalion
-Reorganized and redesignated 19 May 1943 as the Engineer Combat Battalion
-Inactivated 22 December 1945 at Camp Patrick Henry, Virginia
-Activated 28 April 1947 at San Antonio, Texas (Organized Reservesre designated 25 March 1948 as the Organized Reserves Corps; redesignated 9 July 1952as the Army Reserve)
- Reorganized and redesignated 6 April 1953 as the 315th Engineer Battalion (Location of Headquarters changed 1 April 1959 to Houston, Texas)
-Inactivated 31 December 1965 at Houston, Texas, and relieved from assignment to the 90th Infantry Division
-Headquarters and Headquarters Company activated 16 October 2009 at Camp Pendleton, California (Support Company to be concurrently constituted and activated)
-Ordered into active military service 3 April 2014 at Camp Pendleton, California; released from active military service 6 May 2015 and reverted to reserve status

301st sends: SAPPERS LEAD THE WAY!

Congratulations to two of the 416th TEC’s newest Sapper School graduates from class 11-23. 416th TEC Soldiers continue to challenge themselves mentally and physically.

SSG Amick (right) from the 983rd EN BN, 372nd EN BDE, and 1LT Ng (left) from 315th EN BN, 301st MEB, both earned the coveted Sapper tab after completing the 28-day course at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. The course creates elite combat engineers proficient in all aspects of mobility, counter mobility, and survivability.

COL Pope (center), 301st MEB commander, was on hand to congratulate both graduates.

Way to 2LT Adam Ardigo!!!

Congratulations to the 416th TEC's own 2LT Adam Ardigo, for earning the the Expert Soldier Badge on Friday. Earning the badge was no easy task; only 16 of the 57 Soldiers who attempted succeeded.

Army Reserve CSM sends:

"Excellent work! Pass on what you have learned and Train the next generation of competitors! I also want to challenge those who entered the arena but did not earn the badge... I am proud of each of you and want you to come back again next year!"
